Yvonne qualified as a dentist from the University of Sheffield, England in 1973. She immigrated to South Africa in 1976 and took up a part-time teaching post at Wits University.
In 1982 she started her own private practice in Petervale and moved her rooms to Kyalami in 1997. In 2017 she joined Jurgens at 1,2 Smile to create the new branch in Kyalami.
She has served on the Executive of the South African Dental Association and was appointed by the Minister of Health to the Medical and Dental Board of the HPCSA for 5 years from 2010 to 2015.
Her primary interest is in full mouth rehabilitations for which she works closely with leading maxillo-facial surgeons. The joy of this for Yvonne is that, not only can she help to make “lame mouths walk again” but create beautiful smiles in the process.
The African bush holds a special magic for Yvonne. She loves spending relaxing time exploring Africa with her husband in her 4×4.
